Glendale, AZ, Letter Carrier Brian Johnson recently noticed a customer hadn’t picked up his mail for several days.
When Johnson knocked on the customer’s door, he heard an alarm. Johnson knew the customer had a monitoring device, so he asked a neighbor to contact a family member and the police.
Officers arrived and discovered the man unconscious on the floor and in dire need of medical attention.
A few days later, Johnson visited the customer in the hospital.
“Brian saved his life,” said Customer Services Manager Diana Christian. “If Brian had not gone to the neighbor … [the customer] may have gone into a coma or worse, passed away.”
