Wellsville, NY, Letter Carrier Kelly Chapman was delivering mail recently when she saw a woman lying on the ground near railroad tracks.
Chapman placed her satchel under the woman’s head to make her more comfortable and stayed with her until help arrived. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Wellsville Customer Services Supervisor Ian Thompson later presented Chapman with a certificate to recognize her good deed.
