Greentown, PA, Retail Associate Terri Clemens is on her feet every day, but lately she’s been kicking off her postal blues and putting on her dancing shoes at night.
Clemens recently participated in “Dancing Like the Stars,” a fundraiser to help combat kidney disease. She isn’t an experienced dancer, so she spent hours practicing and learning moves.
“I love my community and am always eager to help and have fun,” Clemens said.
Her inspiration came from her personal life: Clemens’ 18-month-old goddaughter was born with one kidney. She also has a friend whose wife died because she was unable to get a transplant.
Kidney disease “is more common than people realize,” Clemens said.
