There were slight changes in the area and district scanning standings last week.
For the second straight week, the top two areas were Western (97.02 percent) and Capital Metro (96.85 percent). Eastern (96.67 percent) climbed one spot to take third.
For the third week in a row, Sacramento (97.75 percent) ranked first among the districts, followed by Portland (97.68 percent). Northland (97.58 percent) finished third, rising from fifth place.
The national scanning score was 96.62 percent, down slightly from one week earlier.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps the Postal Service improve efficiency and network management.
