The National Postal Museum will open its first African-American history exhibit Thursday, Feb. 12.
“Freedom Just Around the Corner: Black America from Civil War to Civil Rights” shares the experience of African-Americans through letters and stamps.
The exhibit features more than 100 items, including mail carried by slaves, the correspondence of abolitionists and civil rights leaders, and stamp artwork.
The museum, located in Washington, DC, also features multiple online resources and collections on African-American history.
