The national scanning score remained strong at 96.08 percent for the week ending Jan. 23. There was a shuffle among the top districts, while area rankings remained the same.
Districts. Portland (97.53 percent) came in first, while Central Plains (97.36 percent) finished second, up from 10th place. Dakotas (97.29 percent) dropped from first place to third.
Areas. Western (96.63 percent) held onto first place. Eastern and Southern were locked in a virtual tie for second with a rating of 96.45 percent.
Scanning allows customers to track their packages and other mail. It also helps boost the Postal Service’s efficiency and strengthens the management of its network.
