Employee Resource Management VP Rosemarie Fernandez will retire Feb. 1 after 37 years with the Postal Service.
Fernandez joined USPS as a clerk in Van Nuys, CA, in 1977. She later served as San Francisco Postmaster and San Francisco District Manager before her current appointment in 2013.
Employee Resource Management includes talent acquisition and retention programs and personnel services, along with selection, safety, health and medical programs.
“In addition to her tireless focus and dedication to the Postal Service and its mission, Rosemarie always seemed to bring out the best in those who worked with her,” said PMG Pat Donahoe. “Her leadership skills have greatly benefited our organization.”
The Postal Customer Council named Fernandez National District Manager of the Year in 2011. She also received a Vice Presidents Award from USPS and was named one of the Bay Area’s most influential women by the San Francisco Business Times.
