Many USPS employees don’t stop serving the public at the end of the work day.
To honor these individuals, the Fort Wayne, IN, P&DC recently created an award for employees who perform outstanding community service.
The first recipient: Mail Processing Clerk Pam Stalling, an 18-year postal veteran who mentors others and participates in charitable fundraising walks.
Stalling “naturally brings people together and believes in the idea of including everyone and making everyone feel welcomed,” said P&DC Plant Manager Martin Hunnicutt. “When she sees someone in need, she can’t help but reach out.”
